Böbreküstü bezi yetmezliği böbreküstü bezlerinin işlevlerinde yavaşlamayı anlatan bir terimdir. Bu durumda aldosteron kortizon cinsel hormonlar adrenalin ve noradrenalin gibi hormonların üretimi yetersiz kalır. Böbreküstü bezlerinde verem akciğerlerdeki enfeksiyonu izleyen ikincil bir odak olarak belirir. BELİRTİLERİ

Elin üstündeki deri koyulaşarak pembemsi avuç içiyle belirgin bir karşıtlık oluşturur. Meme başları ve varsa yara izleri siyaha çalan koyu kahverengiye döner. Dişetleri yanaklar ve üreme organların-da koyu renkli lekeler belirir. Erkeklerde cinsel güçsüzlük kadınlarda adet düzensizlikleriyle birlikte özellikle koltukaltı ve dış üreme organları çevresinde kil dökülmesi hastalığın öbür belirtileridir.

Şimdi bu hastalıkta eksikliği duyulan hormonların yukarıda sıralanan belirtilere nasıl yol açtığına bakalım. Yorgunluk ve düşük tansiyon birbiriyle yakından ilgilidir. Tomografi ve MR: Tomografi ağız ve damar yolu ile kontras ilaç verilerek çekildiğinde pankreas tümörleri hakkında çok önemli bilgiler verir. Yaklaşık %95 ve üzerinde tanı koydurucu özelliği vardır. MR görüntüleme aynı şekilde tümörün ayırıcı tanısında önemlidir. Bu iki inceleme gerektiğinde birlikte kullanılarak hastaya verilecek ameliyat kararı için doğru sonuçlara ulaşılmasını sağlarlar. Tümörün evrelendirilmesinin doğru yapılmasını sağlarlar.

Tümörün cerrahi olarak çıkartılması bu hastalar için tek kür şansını oluşturmaktadır.
